R.M.S. Media

Media, built by John Brown & Co., and launched in 1946, was a cargo-passenger ship. She made her maiden voyage, Liverpool-New York, on 20 August 1947. In 1952, she was fitted with Denny-Brown stabilizers, the first North Atlantic liner to be so equipped.

Media made her final Cunard sailing in September 1961, afterward being sold and renamed Flavia. In 1989, now called Lavia, she burned while laid up at Hong Kong and was declared a total loss.
